Downtown Baltimore's B&O American Brasserie Bar & Lounge

The bar and lounge at B&O American Brasserie can be summed up in one word: Welcoming. Recently named one of the best bars by Baltimore Magazine, the bar is tasteful yet informal, with the several taps issuing an assortment of craft beers.

The lounge's comfortable design lets you and your party relax, share conversation and enjoy one of our many artisan cocktails or a glass or bottle. The wine list is strong in recognized regional and American vintners, plus several European favorites. It's a wine list carefully plotted by Master Sommelier Emily Wines.

Award Winning Happy Hour

The B&O American Brasserie's Happy Hour has gained a devoted following among patrons, and for good reason. Monday through Friday, from 4-7 p.m., draft beer and special wine and Champagne selections are only $3. Appetizers range from $5-7. Not surprisingly, it's one of the most well received Happy Hours in Baltimore.

Of course, when that good person behind the bar is tailoring a Junction Berry Fizz (Plymouth gin, red berry syrup, orange flower water, lemon and club soda), a Horsecar (Tanqueray 10 gin with muddled blueberries and thyme), a Nectar Margarita (Partida blanco tequila, organic agave nectar and fresh lime juice) or one of B&O's several private recipe cocktails, it's easy to develop an affinity for this
friendly hub.

Master Mixologist Brendan Dorr

Engineering B&O American Brasserie's cutting edge cocktails is a mix of art and science. In charge of this careful alchemy is our very own head bartender and mixologist, Brendan Dorr. Bringing together his creativity, experience and a welcome blend of fresh, seasonal ingredients, Dorr mixes cocktails that had one of his menus recognized as the "Best of Baltimore" by Baltimore's City Paper.

Dorr's devotion to the bar is the result of over a decade perfecting his craft at places like Ixia, Black Olive and Aureole in New York. His commitment has also been recognized by The Washington Post and The Baltimore Sun as well as in awards from competitions like the international Cocktail World Cup (where he was named "People's Choice Bartender of the Year") and the Grand Marnier Cocktail Summit.

His skills are many and his dedication runs deep, but it all distills down to Dorr serving a most satisfying libation at B&O American Brasserie in Baltimore.
